Look at this Beauty!

Take a look at the ugly duckling. It's as cute as can be! I'm so proud of myself. This has a plum-coloured cotton canvas lining and outer fabric and laurel burch fabric. The handles are 100% cotton webbing in baby purple. And if you love pockets, this has lots of it inside and out. It's available now!

A Disappointing Tote

I survived my first week at my new job. I'm not quite sure if I like it there but the people are nice so that's good. I heard there are lots of politics in that office. We'll have to see in the coming weeks.

Yesterday, I started on a new Maria Tote. It's finished but I am not happy with the result. It's a shame because this is made of Plum-coloured cotton canvas and Laurel Burch fabric. I'm a very disappointed but I can still rescue this bag. There is something missing but I d on't know what. Anyway, just wait because I am sure I can turn this ugly duckling into a real beauty!

Today's Mother's day and we are going over to have lunch with the clan at my sister's place. I am going to give Momsi her makeup bag. I hope she will like it.

Hi ho hi ho ... off to work I go!

Today was my second day at my day job. The thing I like about my new job is its close proximity to home and for now, the work is okay.


Oi, guess what I discovered today while walking around Westfield at lunch time ... I finally discovered a shop that sells Laurel Burch fabrics. I have been ordering my laurel burch fabrics from the States ever since. Yay, I can finally get it here. They had lots of it, very high quality cotton and all beautiful designs. But unfortunately, they don't have the tapestry fabrics. The wristlets below are all made of Laurel Burch fabrics.

It's all in the Family

The other day, I was talking to my sister Maria (yes she is the Maria of "Maria Tote"!). We talked about new designs that would suit the tote and yes, Maria Totes with Ribbons is the flavor of the month. Now my sister Maria is talented crafter. She makes bags, cushion covers, aprons ... just about anything! Nowadays her passion is making dolls, kitty and rag! Below are some of her creations. Aren't they cute?

And oh, by the way, Maria also makes soy candles and handmade goatmilk soaps. That's her candles right there made of soy with scents so divine.

Now I have another sister, her name is Joan (but the family calls her Boom) and lives in Oman with her family. She is so creative, she teaches art and craft at her studio in Oman. Like Maria, she makes lots of handmade items like angels, dolls, ceramic buttons and tiles, wall hangings, handpainted fabrics and more. Nowadays, she's busy handpainting fabrics and makes them into really cute handbags and wristlets. Then she finishes her handbags with her own handmade ceramic buttons. Look at her gorgeous creations!

Another day, another handbag to do!

Just finished the latest Maria Tote. This one has a very cute Orange Satin Ribbon ... sooo cute! I'm not sure why but I liked putting ribbons on my bags nowadays. It must be one of my "handbag phases". Look to your left (under 'Just Arrived') and admire the bag (just like me, haha!).

I am now thinking on my next creation. Is it going to be a tote, carry-all or wristlet? I might attempt on another purse with metal frame. hmmmmm ... can't make up my mind. I'v got so many ideas on my mind, don't know where to start.

I think I'll do another Pochette just like this. This is one of my favorites! Great size, just for the essentials.

If you don't want to carry something big, this one will sit comfortably under your arm. It's got a top zipper closure.

Now on to the boring side, I have 3 days to go before I'm back to work. So that means I can not be slack anymore, I must get back to being organized. Can't believe 2 months have gone so quickly and we still haven't moved house yet!
