The Arabesque Mini Clutch

The bestselling Kikay Mini Clutches are back!

I've been really busy working on new mini clutches with twist lock. These will be exclusively released in the upcoming Dreamers Market where I will be attending on Saturday, Sept 1st.

Here's the first one I've finished, The Arabesque Mini Clutch.

Blacktown Arts Market

Come and check us out this Saturday, Sept 24th from 10am to 3pm at the Blacktown Arts Market, 78 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown.

Western Sydney artists and designers showcase their creative talent in the annual Arts Market.

Featuring original paintings and sculptures as well as handmade jewellery, handbags and textiles, the Arts Market is a unique opportunity to see and buy locally made contemporary art and design products.

The market, in its fourth year, is part of Blacktown City Council's wider plans to provide ongoing economic opportunities to artists.

Creative Lane

We had a great day at Creative Lane yesterday. This cute little art and craft festival opened its doors to the public for the first time. We were surrounded with creative designers and artistic talents with fresh creations. We even learned how to make an origami crane from one of the workshops. It was a fun day and we finished it off with dinner from this Chinese Seafood Restaurant just across the road!

So much to do, so little time!

The leather has arrived, yay! I just love the smell of leather. Now I can't wait for my hand press and rivets to come so I can get my hands on them.

New materials have also come in. Beautiful new fabrics, leather, notions and these cute antique peacock and heart pendants. I can imagine these cute pendants in a one-of-a-kind clutch.

April and May is going to be really busy as I prepare for the big event in June at Handmade Canberra, make some stocks for Shop Handmade and for a new handmade gallery in Newtown. And who knows, I might get accepted for this handmade event in May here in Sydney. We'll see ... so much to do, so little time!

Handmade Market - Feb 19, 2011

We had a really busy day at the Handmade Canberra Upmarket today. It was great to see people's reactions and comments on all Kikay bags on display. Although it was raining outside for a few hours, the market was still packed. What a beautiful venue, so comfortable and spacious. All in all, it was great market fun!

Check us out in June because we're coming back!
