Tote-making 101

These Tote Bags, while deceivingly simple, will be the basis for all of your future bag-making pursuits. By using this type of tote as a foundation, and in addition to your innate creativity, you can begin to explore different ways to use what you've learned into other forms of bags such as satchels, clutches and messenger bags.

Tote-making 101 will be the first step in your bag-making journey! This is a beginner's class in bag-making not a beginner's class in sewing. But even if you don't have a background in sewing, that's okay too! So long as you know your way around the sewing machine, you'll be fine.

This workshop is for you if you are comfortable using your machine (even though you don't know all the features of it!), can sew in a straight line and back stitchand can thread and load the bobbin. This course is a practical, hands-on bag-making workshop rather than a formal, classroom learning experience.

We want to foster your creativity, so we'll be sewing in a studio as soon as you come into the door. No textbooks, just your guide and your machines and the discovery and exploration of your creativity - all while socialising with like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere!

At the end of the workshop you'll be wearing your new handmade bag that you can show off to your friends and family.

Places are limited, there will only be a maximum of 4 participants per workshop - so sign up quickly!

Hope you can join us at the workshop!
