From your facebook page, click on 'Edit Page' (found below your avatar) then scroll down to 'More Applications' and look for FBML application. Add the application and update with your welcome message. Then create a Tab with your Welcome info.
Finally, in Page Manager set that Tab as the default landing Tab (found under Wall Settings). Voila! you now have a welcome message just like below.

When a business creates a Facebook fan page, they can put their company logo as well as all inventories directly onto the page.
