A Whole Day Affair

It is my birthday weekend so I gave myself a well deserved break from sewing. After all, tomorrow is the start of a more serious preparation for the looming Sydney Stitches and Craft Show in April. 

At first we thought of going to Taronga Zoo since we have not been there since the girls were small. But the entrance of $41 per adult was huge turn off. So we decided to walk around the Sydney suburb of Newtown. Lots of handmade shops. The Thai lunch was not the best but it was okay. Then we went to watch the movie, "A Blind Side". It was a good 'feel good' movie, something nice to watch. 

It was a fun-filled day and the finale was the Moroccan dinner and Sydney Gay Mardi Gras Parade.

Blue Screen

As I turned on my laptop last Wednesday night, the dreaded "blue screen of death" appeared in front of me. So I tried to resuscitate my dear pc, but it was just too late.

In the past few weeks, it's been giving signs but I couldn't be bothered to take notice. I should have made sure I backed up everyday. But no, I was just too busy!

I just hope that I'd be able to recover my files ... fingers crossed the hard disk is okay.

So if you don't hear from me in the next few days, you know why I'm missing in action!

Time Flies

Haven't you noticed? It's already February 2010 ... 10 months more till Christmas!

Where did January go? It just went past in the blink of an eye. I wonder how we can ever make time walk (not brisk walk!) instead of fly. 


Time flies and kids grow up so quickly ... even plants. 

Here's a picture of the same yucca. Taken 6 months apart. One was taken in July 27 2009 and the other was taken in Feb 2, 2010. Look how it's grown.

 

The next thing I know, it will have outgrown its pot. I shall take another photo in December 2010.

The Show is ON

Received good news today. The show that was canceled in February is back on in April ...yay! In a way, the new dates are much better. It gives me more time to prepare and create more bags. Well, I guess it busy times again!
