It's toooooooo hot to talk or even do anything ... 40 degrees heat is not funny ... I'm speechless!

Walking Foot

You've heard it all before and if you're like me, I've always wondered what it is. It seems to be something that is so clever and powerful. The sewing dictionary at Sewing Web defines a walking foot as:

"An attachment for your sewing machine that enables smoother sewing when using several layers or fabric. It provides an extra bit of hold from the top that works with the feed dogs below the fabric, pushing the fabric during the sewing process. It "walks" the fabric. It also works well with slippery fabrics that may need control not available with the feed dogs only."

This nifty gadget for your sewing machine works wonders and I just love it! Whether you're sewing thick or thin fabrics, it just makes it a breeze. Indeed, it "walks" the fabric. Thank God for walking feet!

Motivate Me Friday # 8 - I need Ideas

I've started to look at marketing materials and visual merchandising ideas. With a space of 2m x 2m, there's really not much space to play around with so I have to think of a clever way to utilize this very precious space so my "little shop" won't look cluttered. Perhaps just my cute mannequin in the corner, a coat stand on the opposite side, and a banner on the wall with matching coat hanger. What do you think? Less is more isn't it?

Christmas Gift Suggestions

Since today is the first day of December, I thought it would be a good time  to think about christmas gift ideas. Of course, if you are looking for something special for someone special, I would highly recommend a kikay bag! But christmas is not all about material things only. lt also sharing, love and peace.
